CHIRUNNING ESSENTIALS Workshop
This revolutionary, ever-evolving approach to effortless, energy-efficient, injury-free running differs from traditional running in that the focus is on FORM first, then distance, then speed. Most people train to run in the opposite order and experience pain and sometimes injury.
The technique emphasises the proper biomechanics of running, including: good posture, loose joints, engaging one’s core muscles and relaxing the peripheral muscles of the arms and legs. This approach makes running easier on the body and helps improve and eliminate the aches, pains and fatigues of running incorrectly. On the other hands, it also emphasises the cooperation with natural forces instead of relying on leg muscles for propulsion to achieve the ultimate efficiency and create the perfect condition of running.
It is a half-day (4 hours) workshop which will bring you through the full curriculum of essential ChiRunning techniques to help you avoid injuries and improve efficiencies.
For workshops in Hong Kong, we will offer a package of 8-weekly form-refinement training sessions(1.5 hrs) to be held at Shatin(Wed) or Causeway Bay(Thur) after the workshop, it is complementary and is strongly recommended since it helps a new student to master the techniques. You are welcome to extend the weekly training after 8 weeks by joining our annual training plan. *
